Outdoor News Junior Pro Team is for youth who have an interest in hunting, fishing, trapping or other outdoor sporting pursuits

The program is designed to build a community of like-minded youth who share these interests so that they can get ideas, share their photos and videos and share tips to inspire other youth

• Who is eligible to join? Program is exclusively for any youth age 18 and under across the USA
• What does it cost? It’s FREE
• Where can I follow the JPT? The team is a social community online where the outdoor pursuits are celebrated. Instagram, Facebook and the JPT website are loaded with current member photos!
• Where can I get more tips and information? Members get a weekly update with tips from prostaff and experts around the country, can share their ideas and photos to be included, and get news on exclusive JPT contest promotions.
• What if I don't have an email address? You can set up a free email account using Gmail here
• How can I win prizes? Every member is automatically entered into a weekly contest for cool gear like lures, and JPT apparel. Monthly promotions  to win prizes vary: including options such as members who are using a JPT hashtag when they post on social media, JPT members submitting a photo or video showing us what they are doing in the great outdoors, or having a friend use their name when as a reference when they join the team.
• What do you do with my information when I join the Junior Pro Team? We do not sell or share our member information. Email is used to share the weekly newsletter. Phone numbers are used if we need to reach you with a question about mailing your member packet out, a question on a photo or video you submitted, or to notify you if you win a contest.
• What is my member ID and why does it matter? Members get a JPT ID card sent to them that gives them access to special merchandise discount for JPT swag purchased online. This number is also used to make sure we have the correct information to send you a prize if you win a contest.
• What other things do you do? Members may get invitations to special events (in Minnesota we hosted several kids for the Governor’s Fishing Opener – and we have had members work with us to promote JPT in our show booths)
• Are there hashtags you use? We want to showcase the tips and ideas shared by youth! They can start hashtagging with #jrproteam #jpthunting #jptfishing

  We all understand the important role young people play in the future of hunting, fishing and all things wild. Outdoor News wants to help connect youth who are serious about the future of our national resources.

  That’s why Outdoor News Owner, Glenn Meyer is personally extending an invitation to youth become part of this network as a member of the new Outdoor News Junior Pro Team.

  The Outdoor News Junior Pro Team is designed to provide youth aged 18 and under with a place to become better hunter/angler pros in the outdoor arena, the Outdoor News Junior Pro Team is a place to showcase the photos of young hunters and anglers, it gives them a chance to get real tips from experts in the field, and a place to share their videos and stories as they hone their outdoor skills. The Junior Pro Team is dialed into Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook and the benefits to being part of the team are extensive.

  To get started, youth can sign up as a Junior Pro Team member (it’s free!). We will send each member a numbered membership card, plus a decal to let people know you are serious about the outdoors. Then JPT members who upload a photo and tag it with one of the hashtags #JPThunting, #JPTfishing #jptoutdoors will be included in contests to win prizes like fishing lures and hunting gear.  There will be member-only discounts on apparel, plus exclusive invitational opportunities to be part of special events and recognition through the pages of Outdoor News.
